I don't see the need to relocate videos from the FFR Perfect Project to a official channel, the FFRPP channel has run fine back in the day and it could act as a secondary channel for people who wants more in-depth playthrough on the game. It could be interesting to promote the channel in some ways though, here's a few ideas :
- mentioning whenever a new video on the FFR Perfect Project has gone up, leaving a link for people who wants to see it fully (even having a 10 second clip from the video would act like as invitation)
- I'm currently adding every video to the ffr wiki

Imo, it's more beneficial to focus on tutorial videos/tips/interviews/anouncements on the official channel, even if it would produce less videos than the FFRPP.

just as many other successful channels work, we should list the FFRPP as a featured channel rather than merging.

We can always put a link at the end saying "check out other cool FFR stuff" and have links to the FFRPP or even in the descriptions.

You can also make a playlist on the official channel listing all of the FFRPP's videos, keeping the separate channels clean of clutter

Might I toss out the idea Kayla with the front page posts?

I suggest we steal something from thirdstyle. Allow simfile artists to talk about their files on the front page as long as they keep it appropriate?

I really really really loved doing this on TS and FFR could add a little more personal touch from artists that way.

Also I'd love to try maybe interviewing a few simauthors too about their work. I for one would love to hear people yap about certain choices they made in files and stuff.

As for ideas:
-a segment or miniseries where someone recaps and pays homage some of FFR's history?
They could talk about past tournaments, notable rises through the ranks, controversy, significant and memorable users who've contributed to keep this site alive.

-You could have a token segment where someone drops hints and tips on how to acquire various tokens and skill tokens (kind of like achievement hunter, but for FFR).

-Arch0wl

-A weekly news segment where someone can talk about what files have been added, any changes to the site and new artist permissions. Even try to promote their music a little bit at the end of a video by saying "check'em out on soundcloud" or whatever; as a thank you for agreeing to let us use their music.

I dunno, just throwing ideas out there~

Put it somewhere in the videos. Have the main person of the video say "before I forget, it's time for the credit code! uwhgeui3 is the code."

It will give people more incentive to watch the videos instead of go description hunting, get what they want, then leave.

tbh I think mutliplayer colors should be brought back and you can give enough credits for one day of a color for multiplayer. Or enough for prochat colors works too but I don't personally like prochat colors because all you can do there is chat but in mp you can play and chat

I wake up and read this thread and still love the idea of it.

I'm trying to think of ways to cater to newer players and I have a few jots down of possible things:

-Encourage new players to use profile chat (May be able to incorporate it on the Front Page?)

-Revive Multiplayer. Tweak the level system also helps newer players.

-Utilize the "New to FFR?" Thread as a meet and greet from Staff, Players, and Content producers.

Lastly, I had an idea for a workshop. I wanted to see if it is possible to create a workshop that players could use a form submission to add in their personal tips and tricks for playing. Having as much input on techniques for playing the game will surely help those who come here looking to improve at the game.

We have also lately been having an influx of Osu players joining FFR and it might be possible (For those who play both) to have a conversion guide similar to what was done with Stepmania in the past.

Just shooting ideas out there!

Edit: Migrating new users to participate in the TCG is also a good idea because it incorporates the community, the game, and a few external sources (IE: some games they use as challenges).

I know we've tried to bring back merchandise multiple times in the past couple years, but if they are ever truly brought back, could we implement credits as a form of currency?

Something on the lines of X amount of credits = X amount of dollars for a discounted price.

Doing so could also bring back challenges and tournament activity for people who really need the extra credits to afford something they want
