one of those reasons being that modifying the ranges in the middle is a total nightmare for reasons such as that, and a few achievements losing their significance: "i AAAd my first FGO, but its not the same as what all the other people had to do"

its a lot easier to modify the stuff right at the top: the upper range of FGO and FSO which was already kind of a loose term

I understand what you're saying and I agree with you, it just so happens that 78 is currently a mesh of both old FMOs and FGOs in almost a 50/50 split. So lowering the FMO range by a point to satisfy my OCD with successive ranges being equal or greater than the last wouldn't be a huge deal hehe.

But 90+ as 13 is definitely something I'd want more opinions on. I like it though.

"For Elites Only" actually sounds like a very good choice to me. It's pretty much the ultimate adjective for describing a level of skill.

just ignore the fact that some silly stuff has been said about ffr being elitist

Let's just go with "Brutal" for the 13.

And if that's the case, Brutal certainly works as 13. If we were to keep F_O titles, I'm assuming 13 would get one as well.

we're running out of synonyms for difficult that don't sound cheesy
but i do see the point. that title sounds pretty excluding.

subtract a vote from no and add it to yes, I too am dumb and didn't see the in conjunction at first. I really wouldn't mind either way but for the sake of nostalgia and all that jazz, plus it seems nobody really likes it anyways so if I'm on the border I might as well say yes.

Perhaps too early to tell but looks like the shift back is probably happening at this point. Just need an agreeable title and range for 13.

Imo, I'd love seeing "Brutal" on that scale. It's just a kick-ass term and slides really easily on the tongue.
(and personally, "Cruel" should definitely be on the high-end too)

For Experts Only
idk.. better than Elite imo

but then again it kinda doesn't fit in line with master/guru (i'd expect expert < master < guru)

but the line of expert/master/guru seem pretty good (maybe it would be 11 - expert, 12 - master, 13 - guru) idk

is what i propose, but i'm sure most people would be opposed to moving FMO/FGO up a step since we're super used to calling songs FMO/FGOs (can u imagine calling OMW an FMO lol)

If we'd have to keep with some kind of gradation in the higher tiers of the scale, I'd suggest: "For Deities Only". I mean, since the community commonly calls it "godtier", I feel that would stick just fine.

"For Elites Only" actually sounds like a very good choice to me. It's pretty much the ultimate adjective for describing a level of skill.

I'd rather have the top difficulty be described through words that relate to skill rather than prestige (although we're already doing that to a degree). I would prefer something like "hardest/extreme" over a word like "deities/gods".

This is something I was discussing with nois-or-e when he wanted to change the difficulty system as well.

I think brutal would be great for level 13. The only other things I can kind of think of are unrivaled, superior, inhuman, and space jesus. Glad to be no help :P
Oh add catastrophic to my list, I actually like that one.
