bmah that question you just quoted by him was him asking if he could have veteran moved from the original account on to the account he's using now
which is allowed
But you need to read the context of his question. Again, refer to his original post.
He has an account with one of the two requirements met (~6 billion GTS), and another account with the other one of the two requirements met (5.5 year old account). He does not have both requirements met on any of his accounts.
A Veteran transfer cannot be created from a combination of statistics from multiple accounts.
He's not asking to combine them, and if he is, he doesn't need to.
that I could obtain veteran status on this account (since I have almost 6b total score and my other account is 5.5 years old)
And I might as well post an explanation I gave to j-rodd on these exceptions:
Staiain shouldn't have it to be honest (see his grandtotal). Whoever granted that status to him screwed the system. As I mentioned earlier though, there wasn't a system of standardization until more recently. So in the very early stages, a few people may have slipped by (e.g. Hakulyte). However, it's not plausible to continue giving out these exceptions now that people know of a few past occurrences.
So it was the staff's fault for those few accounts that got away. Because of it, people are now going to clamor for the same thing to happen to them. But you have to draw the line somewhere before this trickling of requests become something that everyone wants. I'm just drawing that line now.
Doesn't it take more time to keep explaining to people exactly what part of an unwritten requirement they have violated and why they can't get the same privilege someone else did a while back? Seems easier to just give veteran status to the one or two people a month who can give a reasonable argument for why they deserve it.
It's not like giving the status costs money, or is a super-exclusive perk that people are constantly trying to get for free. We might as well be nice.

you have literally just described so many people.. psuedo enigma? all of the other people that make new accounts and instantly get vet status
You could have veteran status with a couple of months of moderate playing. At your current GT it would take 2.5 years to be a vet, but you're a bit over 3 billion off at the moment. I mean, a person with absolutely no life could have it in three days (lol). I believe if you keep playing moderately you can obtain it easily, especially with another official coming up. Take the opportunity to train for the official and you'll have it in no time.

so lazy
EDIT: i received a warning for this post lol
I will not repeat this any more. PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
You are allowed to make a Veteran transfer if one of your accounts already has the Veteran status. This means meeting the requirements of at least 3.0 billion grandtotal score AND (not "or") 3.0 years.
You are not allowed to make a Veteran transfer if neither accounts have BOTH requirements. In essence, combining statistics from both accounts will not work.
The issue here is not that Elmerz has already obtained veteran status on another account and wishes for it to be transferred over. In those cases, vet status can and will continue to be transferred to new user accounts if the status has already been obtained by meeting both Member Length and GT requirements on a single account beforehand. The problem here is that Elmerz has both requirements met, but on separate accounts. He doesn't have veteran status already obtained on another account to transfer over, but rather has Member Length from Account A and Grand Total from Account B that meet the requirements individually, not on the same account (just clarifying for those in here that don't understand the issue)
Yes, veteran status has been wrongfully granted in the past by some staff members. I understand and appreciate what bmah is trying to do here, and the video game save file analogy makes perfect sense. Rather than continue to facilitate vet transfers under wrongful means, he's drawing a line here and establishing that this should not have been a way to obtain vet status in the first place. It's unfortunate knowing there are some users that obtained vet in lieu of this, but that won't be an issue from this point onwards.
