DP/RATO move to tokens?

Informal OP because I'm eating dinner in like five minutes but it'll get the point across.

Is anyone against moving both of these files to token levelranks? If so, why? I know they have both been public for a long time, so if the switch does happen, they'll be given very easy requirements to unlock so that anyone of any skill level can play the files once again. E.g. Pass Winter Wind Etude (or something easier if this is too difficult for some D1 players) to unlock Death Piano.

I just think (and I'm sure others do as well) that files of this silly difficulty will mesh better with the other silly files in token levelranks (WW pt.2, p4u v1, vrofl..) and would be better off there than public.

Anyways, post here if you're for or against the idea. If against, please state why. I can assure you that the requirements for re-unlocking should not be an issue for any player.

EDIT: Serious edit: the reason why I am for moving these two songs to token ranks is because unlike the mid/mid-upper 90 files (95/96), DP and RATO have absolutely ridiculous score spreads and most certainly won't change anytime soon.

RATO does require an obscene amount of luck to get a full combo, let alone to get decent PA on top of it. DP is a lot more skillful, but the way it tests the skills is absolutely brutal and it would take a one-in-a-million run for most players to even get any sort of respectable run in comparison to what they are capable of doing. (Dossar is an obvious exception to this, of course.)

I actually wonder what the top ranked players are thinking about this change... I feel like they're the best people to make this decision, considering they're the few players that actually can do the song.

it is so hard to actually fail files on ffr, not sure what you are talking about. you can quad mash WWE and pass it with ease.

But yeah, these two files are complete shitfests in comparison to everything else. They're obviously joke files and my ranks aren't laughing.

going to have the unpopular opinion here and disagree with moving them to tokens. moving them to token level ranks gives people less incentive to play them once they have run out of other things to AAA. the problem is there is not enough FSOs to fill the gaps between RATO and DP and files that aren't as hard, not the files themselves being too hard.

I hate death piano, i wont miss it. I just hope that when i play some of the less experienced players in mp, they will stop picking these songs so often.

In a way I dont see the need to move them because those two are actually playable if you actually put effort into it. Sure they are an ass to combo/FC without mashing, but there other charts like that as well. People first instinct at those level of charts is to mash which isnt a good thing and gives higher end charts a bad look sometimes.

However, I do think they need to be moved for the fact that these charts are a complete joke. They are pretty poorly done and would be better as tokens for the sake of that "joke chart" title some of the other tokens have.

if dp and rato became tokens it wouldn't make a good score on them any less impressive~ FFR isn't a game that should be judged on "completion"~
