My style, my curse

So, when I was still in my early days in stepmania I played with one hand. As I advanced people started to tell me I needed to start playing with two. I created my own style of playing two handed with three fingers and that is:

L index - z key for left arrows
R middle - up and down keys for up and down arrows
R ring- right key for right arrows

Viewing this your initial reaction is prolly WTF.

Well you could probably imagine the hurdles that I have to jump through playing this way some being up and down trills and bursts.

I try to deal with these problems best I can but the biggest problem for me is that when I hit the triple note up, down, right, it does not register. This is the only setup I can use on my laptop. Is there anyway I can fix this problem?

it's just the way your keyboard is made. you're going to want to find 3 keys that work that aren't up/down/right then. like, if you have a numpad, most of those work 3 at a time, something like a586

also you might want to think of like, a hybrid spread
so like, use your strongest finger: your right pointer, and have something like an "a456 setup", with one finger per key
