Hey, I've been around for a while, popping in and out not really saying much, occasionally playing.

I've been a member for 8.19 years which is definitely a while... some might say, a veteran while...

Anyway as proof i did the calculations. I plotted the datapoints from http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...icanhazvetyet/

and fit a curve in excel, coming up with an equation of

y = (-1x10^9)(x)^2 + (8x10^8)*(x) + (1x10^10)



X being number of years of membership, Y being grand total required to earn vet status

Plugging in 8.19, we get

y = (-1x10^9)(8.19)^2 + (8x10^8)*(8.19) + (1x10^10)
y = -50,524,100,000

See as my grandtotal is around 874,000,000, which is significantly greater then -50 billion, I would like veteran status. thanks

Unfortunately it was decided that you had to have at least 3,000,000,000 Grand Total minimum regardless of how long you've been on the site. The curve goes one way but not the other.

The logic behind that was that any substantial amount of time on the site is more than enough to accumulate more than 3bil GT, and in all honesty it should be... an account of seven years such as yours would only need 500mil per year, and that's literally only 1000 gameplays per year at 500k points per play... being around for 7 years should be more than enough time to be getting scores like that.. if you can't, one could argue that you haven't been much of a "veteran player" anyway, and don't really deserve the title.

It's all a matter of perspective, but that's what they decided. Can't sit on the site for 7 years and get vet by default without playing.

Well, most of the benefits are fit around the game so it has at least some integration of a requirement.

May I ask what you would do with Veteran status if you obtained it?

The majority of the features that come with obtaining Veteran status (aside from maybe an added 512kb to a BG upload) are directly related to things you do in FFR the game anyway. You wouldn't use any of these features (like the R^2 or R^3 engines, enhanced level stats, credit transactions list, the veteran forum to comment on things like the beta engines, FFR top 1000 average players listing, or access to veteran songs a week before everyone else) so why does it matter to you? Veteran isn't just an arbitrary title I hope you understand, it is to give players who spend a lot of time on here more features that would help them out, but that people like yourself probably wouldn't care about in the slightest. It is the replacement for paying money for an FFR subscription, since that is no longer done here.

Anyway, it's silly to want something if you aren't going to do anything with it.

Of course I'll give you a detailed and accurate list.

#1 - I'd log onto the profile chat and type: "Wuddup bitchessssss I got vet status!! AOOOO AOOOOOOOOOOO" followed by me immediately logging off to prove my maturity level of being the bigger man and leaving

#2 - Somewhere, on this site I'd post something (most likely quite factual) and back it by saying, "Its true cause I've a vet, *****" *****, being an integral part of this comment. I would use it because over the internet you can't tell that im not nearly as badass as I can type-hype myself up to be.

#3 - I'd masturbate, even though I have past my teens I still frequently touch the peen and busting a vet load would make it that much better

#4 - My daily life would continue and I would occasionally visit this site, always keeping a soft spot in my heart for my vet status.

So you see its not silly at all, I'd do many useful and productive things with this status. I desperately want it as you can see from my compelling argument (see the top of the page)
