I like this event don't get me wrong, but i figured we'd have some sort of christmas style in the songs lol

All the 2 frame minijacks were fixed up. Your main concerns are probably the runningmen and one hand trill now, it isn't too bad.

I think in the future there needs to be a holiday songs batch where you submit charts for holiday related songs(not just Christmas), that way when we get to holiday releases we are prepared and have more appropriate songs choices.

These hard files would be great for the next official tournament. I am not sure if there are already enough files in the queue to cover the tournament though.

Most of the files for this event are not appropriate for a tournament; most often the reason being they're too long. There's a reason why they're used now.

The slower version is from Strawberry Machine feat. YMCK & Aprils. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5sWFDoWy6c)
Apart from the tempo, the two versions looks identical.
I think what happened is that the slower version was made for the release of Crazy Kilt (2004) by Strawberry Music. YMCK re-released it on a faster tempo on Family Racing in 2005.

Yeah, I'm gonna spoiler this. I'm sure 99% of the community will not like what I have to say about this chart.
More than the usual.

World's End Yama Xanadu is completely unacceptable both as an event chart and just a chart in general.

I'm gonna break my own rule for this in that I'm gonna try to give you my reasoning.

Issues with the chart:

1. This song does not warrant being left uncut. There's nothing interesting about the lengthy repeat of that song. I don't even feel this is subjective. I've seen shorter charts that were better get rejected for less. Judges dun goofed hardcore here. And so did you 0.

2. That chart is actually really sloppy. You pussy foot around and step irrelevant background noise in favor of the actual music that dominates. You are also neglecting sounds that matter because of what you are stepping.

3. I don't see a need at all for the white rolls to be white. there's hardly any reason to emphasize them. If they're offbeat otherwise, then forgive me as I can't check that without it in ddream.

4. Jacks or trills, I don't see why you can't choose. 'Cause you alternate on the intro section. That's annoying.

5. This chart is static boring trash. There's nothing interesting about it. It's an arrow dump. At least other arrow dumps: Freedom Dive / Rain [YMCK] made total sense to the music. You skipped more prominent parts in favor of pussy footing with some misc noises I'm not even sure about. It's hard to bring myself to glance in this chart's direction more than once.

I assume this went through a batch and let me tell you, I'm earnestly questioning how this got through at all. Who's penis did you have to wrap your lips around and apply gentle suction to get this trash in?

And this being a token, is no excuse for the slop. Tokens are just as much important to the game as a regular chart, if not more important because they're rewards for accomplishing a task be it solving wordy puzzles or accomplishing a score of sorts.

tldr: Rip it out, it wasn't even close to ready for the game. It's a sloppy dump fest of nonsense. 0, delete this and start over.

I'm not the best stepper or judge of charts but holy shit this awful.

PS: forgive lack of timings, I don't have it opened in dream, so I cannot be precise. I'm sure you understand.

This is going to end well.

My only gripe are the silly willy mini-jacks at the first quarter of the chart. It's the only area you see them and then never again (thank goodness by the way, lol).

EDIT: Also, Earth Blew Up v2 has a pause in the beginning. Can anyone else confirm?

I found WEYX to be an extremely fun chart, albeit a little monotonous. Still really enjoyable nonetheless.

I wished longer files on FFR offer more variation in both music and steps. WEYX is a fun file, but can get boring in my opinion.

It's also funny how people comment "too long" on some files vs. others like WEYX. Perhaps it is song choice, or that the difficulty is vamped high enough for players who consistently post on the forums. Rofl.

I'll playtest the files tomorrow when it's not so late.
