I used to have an inferiority complex the size of Jupiter, that's why I stayed for the first three years or so.

Well sure, but why didn't you do Guitar Hero, osu, etc? (obviously you can play osu but people tend to stick more to one game)

So I'm asking, why Stepmania and FFR?

I honestly think these types of questions will help with newcomers, because they don't have the same feelings as we do for this game haha

FFR is my first rhythm game with complete access (besides Guitar Hero but I didn't own any gaming consoles to keep playing it). It's a game that I started playing about three years ago, and I've grown with it since. The fascinating part is that throughout all of those years I still find this game extremely fun even though there are some days when you despise the game. Stepmania and Thirdstyle has the same concepts, but it's not the same enjoyment that I share with FFR.

I played guitar hero until my xbox stopped working, so I just went back to ffr. I guess the reason I'm still here is because I tell myself, "You're already this good, why stop now?"

Three or four my friends and I would go to the computer lab and play FFR daily from grade 8 to 10. They stopped playing ages ago, though. I remember having to mash the end of The Legend of Zelda and Beethoven's Virus, good times.

also, back in grade 10 or 11, i had played Frictional Nevada at the school's library (on the subscriber av-miss fix engine) and had a huge crowd behind me watching. cept they boo'd me when i missed at around 1200 combo. nonetheless, it was still entertaining for the most part rofl

I am mainly here to post osu/(once in a while) sm scores. Other than that, I have pretty much left most of the FFR side of the community. Only thing that is stopping me from leaving the FFR side of the community completely is Tier Points. Other than that, all I really do now on the FFR side is make troll comments and post random shit lmao

Yes I've played in public and every single reaction I got was positive. My best friend's reaction was literally "WTF" and said he was scarred for life haha. He knew I played this years ago though. His account is LuI K@nG and mine was cyrx900 and him and I played easy songs in MP. I also got my cousin (cyborgx10) to play as well and he says he loves the game but gets discouraged because he's bad at it, even though he has made webcam-quality vids and posted them on youtube haha.

I play in public because I'm always bored during free periods. The thing is I'm not technically allowed to so I have to do it discreetly which is why it can be annoying when too many people try to watch.

I really don't know why I love this game so much lmao. It is one of the only games that I hold 110% confidence in, ability wise. A friend of mine yesterday said that I sold my soul to satan to be as good as I am now rofl.
