I'd much rather D1's song
D2's is one of them files where i either get 1-5 goods and 5+ misses or 10-20 goods and no misses. I'll keep trying though and hope for one lucky run

The D1 chart is actually surprisingly hard - although it doesn't have any jacks, it takes some serious concentration (and a bit of stamina too) to hit those jumptrill patterns properly. And yet, it's still only low-mid FMO...

Seems almost everyone is getting tripped up on the patterns

It's because they're noobs. No, I'm not joking; it really does take a higher level of understanding ffr to handle patterns like the ones in D1's chart.

Basically what you said, qqwref, it takes serious concentration and stamina.
The files are tricky; in the eyes of a noob it may seem unfair because it is very hard to comprehend the patterns.

Just to make things clear, no penalizations are going to take place right now. I understand the tournament started much earlier than the 27th (even though I said that was subject to change) and it may have caused some problems. Don't worry about late submission penalties right now.

I'd hardly say I'm a noob and I'm breathing a sigh of relief that I am in D2, because I can't do D1's song worth anything. My score for D2 is probably 50 goods better than my D1 attempts.

Well, it's kinda like D1's final song in Doss' 2nd tourney. 'Take this life' or something. It has tons of splits and sht, and it seemed to be so much more difficult than D2's song, 'Bleed red'(which was amazing btw, song almost made me cry). All of us were basically raging that D1's file was so much harder.
But, Dossar's scores said otherwise.
He had AAA'd D1's file, but had +30 goods on D2's.
I suppose this is difficult to explain, buuuuuut, practice makes perfect! So practice that sht.

I've already shown that my sightread of D3's file was significantly better than my best attempt at D1's file; I'm obviously not going to SDG the D3 file because I can't SDG anything at all ever. However, if you'd like I'd gladly post screenshots again showing that I can combo D3's file FAR easier than D1, and considering that's what counts the most for combo scoring...

I don't know why you're being so hostile lol, all I'm saying is that, this round, the D1 file has patterns that are way harder for me than the other 2 divisions. And that probably holds true for many other people in D1.


And for "noobs" (which I guess is now the term for anyone worse than Frank Munoz) obviously if you don't have the speed to combo 1handed trills at 160bpm that file is going to be infinitely harder than many other patterns. Just because it's easier to AAA at high-level play doesn't mean it can't also be extremely hard until you reach the threshold of being able to do that pattern.

For future reference, don't do that. It makes the score look suspicious.

I found D3 harder than D1. Who cares seriously, I don't give a fuk about other divisions' files, I compete in my division, period. Now please just stop complaining...
