Alright, tournament's over. I'm working out the prizes now.


EDIT: OK, we have 300k credits, and God Tier died, so the remaining divisions get credits in a 5:4:3:2:1 ratio. So that's 100k, 80k, 60k, 40k, 20k. I said the top 3 in each division were going to get prizes in a 3:2:1 ratio, so if there are only 2 people it should be a 3:2 ratio (and if there is only one they get all the credits for that division). So we have:

Division 5
1st place: SocoNhydro420 - 100,000 credits!

Division 4
1st place: RagedBerserker - 40,000 credits!
2nd place: master q60 - 26,667 credits!
3rd place: igotrhythm - 13,333 credits!

Division 3
1st place: MaxGhost - 36,000 credits!

Haha, I'm not sure he quite belongs in D4 yet. I haven't seen any amazing speed scores from him at least. Decent speed, reading, and PA for D3. Amazing speed, reading, PA for D4. And godly all of the above for D5+.

And yes, I've seen his scores in the FFR Scores thread. XP Sounds Attempt really isn't that hard, you probably just have a mental block on it or something :P. Choprite... long, yes. Hard... no. His scores would put him in D3 in my book.

By the time I feel like I'd be good competition you'll maybe be in D4. I seem doomed to rot in D3 forever though rofl. My fingers just don't do fast (don't ask me how I got my Piano Etude Demon Fire and Frictional Nevada scores, I honestly don't know xD).

when requesting out of d1 i just wanted to get a feel on what the competition was like in d1...i guess it ended up being a smart decision to move up, since everyone but 1 quit d2 ><

all in all a great tournament, wish i could have put forth some better scores but i think yoshi had the upper hand from the beginning (and all the way through) XD

Yeah, on certain songs mirror and nonmirror can feel very different. Of course, I tried to choose charts where that was the case - hope I succeeded

Amefuri, Classical Insanity, and MAMA were all about the same for me. Didn't matter which way I played it.

btw, for MAMA let's assume you're right handed and prefer the chart on non-mirror where only the 2-3-4 arrows are used and you're using a generic key set up like ASKL. The entire song you only have to use the SKL keys. Now when you have to play it mirrored you're now using your weaker left hand because now the song only has the 1-2-3 arrows and you're playing with ASK. Soooo, what you can do to play both mirror and non-mirror with your dominant hand is just change the key layout. Play MAMA on Mirror with a setup like SKL[random key] and now S hits the 1 arrow, K hits 2, L hits 3, and [random key] would hit 4 if it were ever used in the song.

You still get to play the chart primarily with your dominant hand and it may help to overcome any mental blocks you have because it's a totally different chart for your fingers. It took me about 10 minutes to get used to playing MAMA like that though haha. Playing on orbular seemed to help since I didn't have arrows to reference for which finger I should use.

I played MAMA on true mirror. My hands are pretty equally matched when it comes to that file, tbh. I've been able to do OHTs lately, on both hands, so it didn't make a difference for me
