Is it gonna be set-up like basketball? As in, the top 4 teams at the end of the "season" will make it into the playoffs.

Example (after 9 games [end of season])

Yeah, it'll be pretty much like that. Best 4 teams go to "playoffs" or finals. Two final rounds.

People keep signing up, and these undecided people haven't chosen a team yet.. I guess I'll just place them into teams myself and start soon.

Added two teams because there were left over people. Signups are closed, and all of the people in Team 10 need to post here so I know they all want to play.

Once they do that, the tournament will start.

Also, because I didn't get many credit donations, and this is a decent sized tournament with people that have a lot of credits..

Teams that lose a round will be required to send me 5,000 credits. This will go on for every round of the tournament. With 10 teams, there will be 5 winners and 5 losers each round. With the losers sending 5,000 credits per round, I'll recieve 25,000 each round.

Each person in the team should send 1,000 credits to me, to equal the 5,000 per team.

25,000 x 11 rounds or more = 275,000 Credits (Plus the 60,000 that were donated from me and the two others) = 335,000 credits to split between the 5 players of the winning team.

Sound good? Raise the amount losers send? Lower it? What?

Other tourneys have tried to have "pay to play" but get shutdown on that. We know you'd never do anything with our credits, but I still don't think it's a very good idea. Besides, is it our fault that we have to play up against rubix + colt + other amazing people??

It's all fine by me. I like it as it is. It motivates competitors to play well. This is also a very good way to spark rivalry but this could also cause tensions between players. Especially the weakest links.

It should force people to be active.

It doesn't really matter if each person sends 1,000. One person from the team can just send 5,000 or something. Just as long as I get 25,000 for each round. I'll probably wait until I get 25,000 to start the next rounds

If you guys don't like the idea, we don't have to do it. I just thought it'd be nice to force some activity and raise the prize purse.

1. we're not clans
2. we don't get to pick our opponents
3. there aren't divisions to make it even remotely fair
4. we joined when it was only 10,000 creds. Apparently fun doesn't mean anything
5. we have subs for inactive people
