not going to get involved in the debate, but this post doesn't help your case. If he wasn't supposed to be D5 to start with, but was in D6, and you still placed first, you should be at that same level too.

This is not entirely true though. The difference is in the difficulty of the songs, a D5 player can be top of D5 but not have anything that would be really all that relevant for D6. YoshL is very much on the borderline in his case though. Krunky is also a little bit out of practice from his old skill.

Yea, that's why I wasn't getting involved. YoshL is like me, we were both borderline but I just crossed it in the last few days. And Prawn's tool places him and I both in D5 but now I'm D6 where I think I belong

I'm happy to be in D6, I've been having skilljumps putting me there so now I just have to work on consistency.

Speaking of which just got 11-0-0-5 trying LW2 again :P Only 2nd try though, compared to 21 last night

I by no means want this to come off as being rude but how much experience do you have with placements? I legitimately don't know how much you've done in the past. YoshL still hits D5 with prawns tool because that one takes different things into account that I don't think yours is.

YoshL is borderline for sure, but there's a lot of things to look at when doing placements.

seriously, is prawn's tool something other than that forum post in the D2 rivalry thread because I feel like i'm hearing about two vastly different things both labeled as "prawn's tool"

And I've never actually done placements before but I've been in enough tournaments to know what skill goes in what division.

BTW YoshL, my tool puts you in D6 because of your scores on Husigi (actually this one is outlier'd away, it comes up as a freaking 87), turbo, la camp, and molto.
