I'm actually pretty fun in person, on here it's whatever. ever since i cheated on a few songs in FFR like 2 or 3 years ago and got caught, everyone lost any respect they may have had for me (probably none to begin with lol) and has ever since looked down upon me. I tried doing a few events for free to give away credits to kinda show i'm not a terrible person and rebuild my image but that didn't work so at this point there's really nothing to lose. I'm sure if we met in person we'd actually be friends because I can get along with just about anyone but on here I just look like a cheater and a dick lol. It is what it is.

it shouldn't matter what you think your e-rep is on a website. you should be giving away credits or playing in flash game tournaments to have fun with some pals.

you say you have nothing to lose, but is there really anything to gain from this kind of behavior?

at least i've never cheated in an official tournament where the number one rule in large bold print says "NO CHEATING" not to mention there are crazy amounts of people keeping an eye on scores lol.

#admitting it and coming clean so it doesn't actually affect anyone else playing, because i still actually care about this site despite shit people keep giving me, and i know that it was wrong

again ever since the first time i cheated any "rep" i had which prolly didn't exist anyways was long gone with no chance of coming back. i have had times where believe it or not i tried being friendly but that didn't work because everyone still looked at me as a cheater so all hope was lost.

The difference between you and me is more people actually know you bc you have more involvement on the site helping out and such. had that been me that cheated in the tournament i guarantee i would have gone through way more shit than you did.

lol @ your example. I never said it was acceptable, but on a technical level I haven't broken any rules of this tournament. If you can show me a "documented rule" for THIS tournament that states otherwise, you win your case.

Note that this announcement is 'sitewide', so this tournament, while not using FFR scores (and as such probably wouldn't use phrase in the red text), also follows the same sort of rules where CHEATING IS WRONG. If it was exclusively for FFR scores, that point would be listed underneath the "FFR The Game Rules", rather than a section above it

there are a ton of people who contribute to this site and community without getting much recognition. you can still go for it if you try.

but if you feel like whatever damage has been done truly cannot be repaired, and if that somehow inhibits your ability to be a positive presence here (which I don't think it should), then why stick around?

Others have already said, but yeah. Don't be that guy that tries to find loopholes in logic just because they can get away with it. No one ever likes that guy. Especially since a lot of time they try to find loopholes to get out of trouble instead of pointing it out before they get in trouble.

it's a serious request. you're not in this tournament anymore, because you cheated, and then even tried to play it off, trying to justify your cheating, and trying to continuously (and really badly) hide the fact that you were.

hey, that's cool man. I know the staff and simfile makers put a lot of work into the game, so I think it's cool that people still enjoy playing it.

what does that have to do with you cheating in a flash game tournament now, lying about it after getting caught, and then blaming the host for your own actions after you got kicked? Xiz is trying to put together a fun event for everyone, and you actively made it less fun. public perception shouldn't be the only thing preventing you from doing this.
