Re: 21992's Skill Booster's Tournament!
So this whole tournament has kind of folded under the dust apparently ....
I don't even know how to even save this tournament ...
Possibly .... Sending out MASS PM's to those who are still considered IN the tournament and have them post scores from Round 2 on ... I will post my scores for Round 1 AND 2 considering I had forgotten about this tournament for a while now ...Comment

Re: 21992's Skill Booster's Tournament!
Information about when the current round (song picks, deadlines, ect) needs to be in the OP. Also, the OP says rounds will be 2 days long. I personally need longer rounds than that because of my work schedule. I think I remember reading somewhere that round 2 is 4 days long?
Edit2:// Oh, round two is over. I didn't know this. Can I still submit to help keep this going?Comment

Introduction
Hello and welcome to my first tournament on FFR! It's very exciting to see many competitive players brawl it out for fame , glory, and ultimately broken keyboards. This tourney is designed to make you become a better FFR player. I remember my first tournament, the 6th Official. Although I had lost I had moved up from playing 9's and 10's (old system) to late 10's and 11's with an "alright" PA. I will be giving tips throughout the tourney that I think might benefit you, some might just help you on your endeavors for the blue ribbon (Ribbon sold separately) . So I wish you good luck and most importantly ... Have Fun!
Tournament Details / Structure
This will be an Elimination tournament. Ties will be judged by the the previous round score (In exception for the first round where a tie-breaker will be held).Their will be 6 rounds and no extensions due to complications it might create. Failure to submit will give you an automatic elimination. There will be 4-6 Divisions based on the number of sign-ups (this is to prevent divisions with 1 or 2 people in them). Some divisions may have an A / B flight to them if enough people are enrolled in the division. I will be looking at your lvl ranks to determine which place best suits you . You might be placed in a higher division, but with people in your skill (just remember I'm trying to push your limits.) Odd rounds in this tournament will be using raw scoring and will be assessing your precision in hitting perfects and improving on your PA, these rounds will usually be paired up with an up-to-skill song. Even rounds will be using combo scoring and will be testing abilities to hit most/all notes, these rounds will be paired with songs that are generally harder than your average song.
Rules
1. No Cheating... C'mon guys this one is common sense, but if you do decide to do this a site staff will be happy to punish you along with expulsion from this tournament. Play Clean.
2. No flaming, trolling, or any sort of demoralizing statements directed to anyone.
3.Reasonable Rules and adjustments might be made through out the tournament. Don't even bother with loopholes.
4. Sorry guys no 1 note scores, songs must be played through in their entirety.
5. I reserve the right to opt you out of the tournament without reason if I think you will create any problems ( I don't think that's gonna happen
).
6.Don't Photoshop , this will be considered cheating and will be dealt accordingly with the staff.
7. You may be moved anytime during the tournament.
8. If more than eliminated players don't submit, it will be determined by whoever is under the elimination line (this is completely random.)
Donations
Donations are Immensely appreciated. I'm going to start the pot with a gracious 50,000 credits (some of which people are desperate for after going Bankrupt at the Gambling Hall) . Donators will receive their name in a color of their own choice , a size that corresponds to their donation, and a comment (usually positive
)
Pot
21992 : 50,000 (Woah mama!)
bmah : 100,000 (Gigidy)
psychoangel691 : 200,000 (Say WHAT!)
Bobogoobo : 15,000 (Aww, Yeah)
Scubasteve0110 : 45,000 (Damn Straight)
Xiz : 53 (Sorry for your loss @ GH lol)
mRpREggERs : 2992 (I see what you did there...)
Total Pot : 413,045
Tips and Tricks
1. Here's you first tip so listen up! This might only be helpful for the higher division players but none the less it's still a tip!

So as you can tell from this horrible 5 minute drawing on paint that FFR has 3 frames for the "Perfect" window. Say you're approaching a mindblock section or a section with speed you just can't match. Plan ahead and try to keep hitting the earlier perfect window (Upscroll, where the circle is. Downscroll, the line above the "Amazing" window) .But be aware don't go to much further as you can head into good range and even the disappointing average rating. Most goods are derived from late notes so just shift your focus a little.
2. So here's tip number 2! When I joined FFR I was completely bored and had nothing else to do. I was looking for fun, as well as a goal. I still do that today! I play really hard songs that I know I'm going to fail at. Or just play without judgement showing on the screen as well as combos. I play whats fun for me... not trying to AAA a 6 that's atleast 4:00 minutes long. It's not about that stats it's about the skill.

Re: 21992's Skill Booster's Tournament!
A lot easier for me than last round was. The white arrows are pretty easy if you just convince your brain to hit them as jumps. At least that's what I do.Attached FilesComment
