Why would a TIE result in absolutely no points? Lol wth is the point in that haha I'd just say give em the points regardless haha

As for DODGEBALL, I remember Carlos sending me the draft of his first DODGEBALL Tournament a LONG time ago and it was ****ing amazing lol that's all you need to know :P

Point is to win, not to break even, also it would make it so people don't try to amass points by playing songs both players can AAA and keeps the tourney from becoming a AAA fest for the upper divisions after everyone feels like the harder songs aren't worth playing anymore.

Only suggestions from me..

Catching the ball to get people back in (added variation)
Making it so if one person is obviously the best and won't be beaten in the division, that team doesn't automatically win. (Dossar D6 for example)

thats my only problem. i havent found a good way to handicap people from auto winning anything. like i would like it so that there is a chance albeit slim for say someone in D1 to beat a D6 player under the right circumstances

I had the same trouble with making this tourney, but I think it worked out pretty well so that most everyone has a shot at winning. Steal an idea or two if it helps you!

I'll try to think of something and pm it to you so this thread doesn't go too off topic.

ehh my bad on the naming? If "Official" in the title is keeping you away from the tourney.. I really don't know what to say (from my point of view it's the same as not joining your custom tourney because I don't like dragons and dragons is in the name, not to mention this is my first tourney and I really don't know why all the other ones have 5x as much traffic at a minimum as mine. I guess I'll figure out why eventually)


The sandbagging is more like a way to make the other person play with you more and then in the end, end up with more points, but it's a gamble because they could catch on and as soon as you beat them once, they leave and find someone else. There is a fair amount of strategy in this, and should be pretty even no matter what division you're placed in.

The thing is with tournaments is that it depends on how people are feeling. Maybe they just got done a tourney and they are a little played out or theyll be busy. Also, not that this is always the case, but of those that are better known, like halogen, people are more likely to just join a tournament of his because they know he is dependable and can handle something like that easily and know how to make it fun. Not saying that you cant or dont obviously, but its heresay. The more successful tourneys you do, the more people will want to join up.
