Actually the site doesn't make profit at all. They spend money on the servers and no members pay anything. By the way, do you see any ads on the site?

Then we have a yes for Bassnectar. That stated I could have sworn there were ads on the site. XD I actually stopped to look around and noticed there weren't any.

That being said, no harm was done and I never brought up ads. I was just unaware if FFR made a profit or not, hence my not replying to the e-mail. Wrong reason, proper course of action. I could have sworn there were ads... but even if there were, unless they were in the game I'm not entirely sure you could say the games turning profit (seeing as people can play without visiting the site...)

I tend to stay out of any legal-related issues. The law's not kind and doesn't look past mistakes so when in doubt, I just don't do it.

Even with ads on the site the site wouldn't be making money from bassnectar's music. Even if we still had subscriptions everything would be ok because all subs get is to play all the files prematurely. Everything would've eventually gone public

Which is why I stay out of legal issues.

Although my optimistic side was "so long as people aren't paying to play the game [as a whole, like buying software], it'd be okay.

But when not 100% sure. Don't risk it, is what I've been taught.

I'll step Bassnectar's Basshead right away. I've been waiting for a response.. and since FFR is free now (no sub fees), we don't have to pay a licensing fee.

I'll see if i can ask Angerfist for some hardstyle just to mix it up. Skrillex should be in this equation because hes a mix of electro/dubstep so no one will get that repetitive feeling.

honestly though i don't think dubstep songs are any more repetitive than normal songs.. normal songs have chorus lines and justin bieber says "baby" like 3992 times in his song
