Back on topic

I think there should be a 5-7 day period between the posted placements and the start of the tournament. That way the community has time to 'peer review' placements, and it would take away the community's right to complain about placements. Of course, all placement disputes would be PM'd along with the scores to back up the complaint. Borderline players could be 'put on trial' by the placement team to weigh the evidence and act accordingly.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the songs this time around, which is always a good sign The only thing really obviously wrong in my eyes was all the mistakes made on various files requiring updates in the middle of the rounds. Other than that I'd say it went rather smoothly. But what do I know, I just play the game, not pay attention to all the backend stuff

what's with the divisions going from 1 being the worst to 7 being the best. When as far as I know it's been the other way around in almost every sport =0

You see I would love this, but how to balance it. It's like Gg d1-4 round 1 if everyone is randomly placed haha. If you did bracket style per division that might be cool

It's a frustrating situation for me, personally. I'm being put under fire for inconsistencies that aren't my fault.

I didn't mean to blame anyone for anything in particular. sorry if it came across that way!

I was thinking more in terms of the site as a whole. there have been inconsistencies with actions taken toward those who broke site rules. if the rules as they're written aren't always going to be upheld, then they should be changed to reflect the actual policies of the current administration.

that's the last thing I'll say, I swear thanks again for hosting the tourney!

It's just a game.
It's nice, very very nice to play on tourneys and more, also exciting...
but it still a game, and we must treat that as a game.

AJ, Thank you very much for doing a nice job running the tournament. I enjoyed it a lot, and so did the 5 friends i convinced to join as well, none of us made it past r16. It was a blast with the preview videos.

Im late to this discussion, but i highly disagree with how "it" was handled.

yoshl's not the first judge to cheat zekramcross and midnight did infinitely worse shit in the 7th when zek placed one of his alts in d1 and pretended to be his brother and midnight went along with it
they also probably influenced the other judges to place a bunch of people in divisions they didn't belong to give others an advantage because of how wonky the placements were and i'm pretty sure they got slaps on the wrist too
POINT IS yoshl probably isn't a repeat offender and he's a pretty cool dude and the rules are enforced pretty arbitrarily here so this is one instance where someone should get some leniency because who cares i lost right away and i'm pretty salty about it
