You guys... I use 1.8x on Legacy and even that gets too fast for me sometimes.

You get used to higher speeds eventually. The thought of going above 1.3 was just insane about a year ago for me.

Agreed. I used to only play on 1.5x on Velocity--and now I am up to 2.15-2.3. It just takes some getting used to.

I use 2.0 on Velocity but I've moved to the R3 engine, which varies the speed a little. Think I'm at about 2.5 on R3, or something like that.

I remember when I started a year ago I maintained 1.2 for a couple months and slowly increased speed over the year, it wasn't until i noticed that I was playing around 2.4-2.6 on legacy/velocity that I decided to slow down to 2x speed. Increasing speed does help with spacing arrows apart, but being in a lower division with a super high speed can also be bad because once you start skill boosting and getting into more dense levels it will start to get really difficult in distinguishing all the patterns and arrows that fly past your screen. Unless you have extremely good reflexes, going too high in speed isn't always good. That's just my opinion anyways.

Not sure how to put the pattern into the number format I see some people use

fyi:
1 = left arrow
2 = down arrow
3 = up arrow
4 = right arrow
[XX] = jump (unspecified)
[XXX] = hand (unspecified)
[1234] = quad

example: if you wanted to illustrate rolling patterns, a basic case may look like this: 12341234

On the contrary, I actually improved after lowering my speedmod from 1.85x-1.90x to 1.75x (now I'm back at 1.85x). It's always good to change your scrolling speed every once in a while, whether it's higher or lower.

I should have mentioned this also. Thats why my speeds vary.

Sometimes to read heavy patterns I speed it up to know what i am looking at, then slow it down to read it properly. Sometimes after staring at a song for so long, changing things like mirror / speed really helps.

Yeah I just played it and the only things hard at all are the trills and maybe that burst stream at the beginning, so it's an easy song to get low goods on

OOOOOOH! Yea, she put me there cause I had my account wiped. Wanted to start over. Kayla was the one who I asked and I guess she may had forgotten or didn't know how to place me since I was so rusty. But I've gotten back to where I was when I quit(during the last official) and even skillboosted quite a bit. I guess it was just a weird set of circumstances.
