Uh... missed the other secret songs I had. Lol. I have 6 of 'em.
I'm sorry but that is impossible, I only uploaded three.
I posted earlier that the secret songs I was referring to were not home key songs, and chances are the 2004 engine just glitched you into the level or something.
If I missed any of the following secret songs from you:
dub-i-dub
Pwnd!
Link the post and I'll add them in. I'm tallying things up right now so if you linked the post(s) that would be wonderful. I have a lot of clutter to search through otherwise.
Store and share all of your images @ IMAGESHACK.com
Edit: Tried linking them directly. Didn't work, so I'm just going to link them. Hope that's okay. Sorry.
Edit 2: Okay, now I can get 2 of them to work. I've got a full combo on one song, and 3 secret songs so far! The last one was just... invisble arrows? Strange song
Edit 3: 4th secret song. Means 4 secret songs, and a full combo! Wish I had a chance at the token though.
Edit 4: 5th secret song. So 5 secret songs and a full combo! Woot! Sorry if the MaxX Unlimited one had the double tool bar. I was putting print screens on printscreens to save time.
Edit 5: 6th secret song. Secret songs 4, 5, and 6 all seem to be glitched. the arrows don't show up at all, and while the music starts, it suddenly cuts off. I can see why it's considered 'testing'.
There you are. Only 3 songs worked. But for sure, I can tell you the location of 3 more. You have to change the scrolls. For example, MaxX Unlimited you have to go down to the third section. It's near the center.
Thanks for the contest - This was a lot of fun, and pretty cool to see the roots of the game - I remember coming on here back when the game was really new and I was pretty young and a DDR fan, and this brought me back. Now I have to choose which event token to take...

Tell you what, if you send me print-screens of your mouse hovering over the spot needed to click the song (ie: hover it there, then press print screen) I'll add on 5k for each additional song (the ones that didn't work). I was going to be print-screening the ones I knew and making a compilation for others to play the secret songs that they didn't find.
The mouse changing to a pointer icon with the name of the secret song is what I'm looking for.
Also since I'm an idiot, I'll send 5k to the first person who posts Afro's location through this print-screen method.

Edit: MaxX Unlimited is EXACTLY between the V and the S in the center screen.
Put Your Faith in me is just left of the words "You since" up at the top where it says total games. Oops. My bad. Okay Let me get to it.

This was a really fun and unique spon con. I definitely enjoyed playing on the engine (with a bit of screencut, hehu) even though I had basically zero PA ability.
Best AAA: Policy In The Sky [Oni] (81)
Best SDG: PANTS (86)
Best FC: Future Invasion (93)
The ONE time I assume that the mouse will show in a print-screen (since it's worked for me all the time before) and it doesn't.
Wonderful. Sorry about that guys, I'll think of some way to make this more accurate lol.
Testing your thing sayuncle. +5k for you!

Print-screen has failed me as well. I'll just flat out give you the 45k, since this isn't your fault or anything.
These are the first two. I'm trying to find the last one over again. Note: these won't show up in Dance. You MUST be in the correct directory.
Edit: Last one is found. This one is also not in dance This one, instead, is in Hip Hop. You HAVE to switch to hip hop.
Awesome, just checked all of these and found them with the screenshots. After I distribute the credits, and message about getting the winners their tokens, I'll compile a list of secret song locations and upload all of the levels I might have (since they should have been there to begin with).
I think I found every single secret song on the 2004 engine. There are some nobody mentioned yet. Here are some pictures of all the locations, with little red dots to denote the rough areas where you have to move your mouse. Note that the genre absolutely does matter.
Dance genre (4)
Hip-Hop genre (1)
Funk genre (4)
I looked into the swf and found out that the Empty placeholder was level 27, and MaxUnlimited was level 43. I have been wondering about those two level numbers for literally years - they were completely gone from the site when I started looking around, which is saying something because even FF7, Chrono, FFR Special Mix, and Genesis One were still available. Does anyone have the original MaxUnlimited swf sitting around?
