    More Classical Music

I feel like the classical genre is really lacking. I'm pretty sure that most of the really old classical music is in the free realm and doesn't require permissions to use. I have a ton of classical music that I could upload somewhere and make a list of if anyone is interested in stepping some classical music for ffr.

oh hey, this is what I tried to do. Only problem is, 90% of good classical songs that people would enjoy listening to cannot be condensed to 4 keys, it's just a mess. Middle of the difficulty chart could be pretty feasible, though. Maybe over winter break.

If I can get a classical piece that doesn't have BPM changes every 5 seconds then I will definitely give it a shot. I know of a bunch of pieces I'd love to step but I never knew how well permissions would go :P
Glorious Morning - Misc, level 48
We Will Fly - Dance 2, level 53
          =.The Ocean.= - Dance 2, level 56, collab with krunkykai22
Garden Party - Dance, level 38

Haha good luck finding a classical song with no bpm changes. Even making a midi with no bpm changes is gay. As far as permissions go you should be fine unless the composer is a recent one

              Re: More Classical Music

Those midi versions of old classical music are basically all public domain.

Any original performance by the actual composer of old classical music (Like, if you actually get some Beethoven -by- Beethoven) is basically all public domain.

A contemporary performance of old open domain music generally requires permission from the performing group to use their version, but since they are themselves performing public domain music, it's far less likely that we'd get into any kind of trouble using their music.

I could convert midi's to mp3's using a nice sound card.

Obviously you didn't know I have been in an orchestra half my life, so I know a bunch of pieces that don't have BPM changes. The Brandenburg Concertos by Bach is just one of them, and they are fun :3 especially the first movement of the third concerto.

I highly favor this. I'm a big fan of classical songs and would love to see more of them as well. The bpm changes would be hard to step but I'm sure some of the experienced steppers here could overcome that challenge.

My problem is that I don't have it, I just know of it. I've never been able to get access to good MP3's of them with OMGWTFAWESOME orchestras. Once I get access to good MP3's I'll be on it.

I really love well-stepped classical files such as "A World of Piano" and "Minute Waltz v2" If it makes you feel like you're playing a piano, it's awesome.

The problem is it's generally hard to get permissions from great classical music performers.
