I'm pretty sure. And regarding strictness of CC, according to the provided link, it's probably "Attribution Non-commercial (by-nc)" and that would make sense. Editable in the fact that we might want to cut a long song, but credited and not commercially used.

And of course, please state that you've got the song from the CC links if you use them.

Hey there, this is Zajac, aka PolishPat, aka UnderGround Concept.

Just wanted to let you all know that any of my tracks that are downloadable on my soundcloud at http://www.soundcloud.com/polishpat may be used for the game.

I'll talk with some of my connections to see if I can get blanket permissions from the labels, Tuff Love Dubs, Suicide Dubs, Stepping Forward, and some others.

Two Newgrounds artists confirmed via PM that they agreed to give FFR permission to use their songs: NickPerrin and xKore. Here are screenshots of their PMs (even though I told them to email at music@flashflashrevolution to get everything official)

Note: I know that Nick might give a conditional permission since at least one of his song (e.g. -Redemption-) is not available for FFR since somebody paid for it. When he said "those songs" in the PM, he's talking about the ones I suggested.

Yup. xKore has the epic dubstep while Nick has the very cool classical and 8-bit music. Both fit FFR's style quite nicely!

How exactly do you try to get a song into stepmania? I am wanting to step Syntax but I cant figure out how to get it into stepmania.

Not sure if this was stated somewhere in the thread, but I thought we had permission from All Time Low, seeing as how we have a file in game by them.

If permission needs to be regained, I can talk to them. Or if a website is needed I'll get that too.

Ok I still need help with somehow getting the song Syntax by xKore into Stepmania so I can step it. Whenever I save the song into the file its supposed to be saved to it just disappears as if I never downloaded it. I am really confused here. I have checked many other threads on how to do this but I still cant figure it out. Is it because NewGrounds downloads are different or something?

I save the mp3 file but when I do and I go to put it in a stepmania folder the mp3 is gone and I have to redownload everytime.
