Artist Blanket Permissions v5 - Flash Flash Revolution
I'm against specialized batches of a certain genre. If you think a certain genre is lacking, you go ahead and step songs from those genres for any regular batch.
I don't see the logic here. You could say that about any of the special batches. If you think we're lacking in easy/hard files, step easy/hard files.
The point of the special batches is to promote whatever the batch is for, right? I don't think genre specific batches is necessary at all, as opposed to difficulty/new-artist batches, though.

"Hey Foil. What's that you got there?" inquired Keywii.
"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.
The distribution of song difficulties is far more important than what song is being stepped because the game depends on a balance of difficulties. On a side note, I can bet that the songs coming in will be relatively diverse enough to prevent something as desperate as a need to fill up a certain genre of music.
Forcing people to step a certain genre of music is not only a lot more of a bore (to both simfile authors and the audience who may dislike the genre), but it's also difficult to determine if the songs fit relatively into the proper genre before they've been accepted.
message : Hey there! I've been browsing around and I love a lot of your stuff, especially your freeform and Kun Kippari (lolol). I'm glad there's a guestbook, since I would love to use your music in a free flash game.
The game is called Flash Flash Revolution, it's essentially a flash based version of Dance Dance Revolution, but you use your fingers, allowing faster songs to be used. Since you make some great freeform (Pink Magic, Darkstar, etc), I feel that you would be a great addition to the game!
The game is entirely non-profit. It's being run as a hobby website (and a very impressive one, at that) by a few hard-working people. No money is made whatsoever. So, unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to pay you. But there are over 1.5 million members, about 500,000 of which are active on the game itself (a lot of people browse the forums). It'd be a great way to get your name out to many people who either haven't listened to freeform or haven't heard of you (or both). All new artists that get into the game have their names posted on the front page, and have a link to their homepage as well.
If you wouldn't like for us to use your music, that's fine. I wish you the best of luck in your future musical endeavors.

Answer : Sure, you can use my tracks in your games as long as I'm credited. However you should check if the track is signed or not from my Discography page. At least Pink Magic is unsigned and free to use. E-mail me you have any questions and need any particular tracks.
Sent a permission request to Jordan Rudess for one of his solo piano albums...probably a ridiculous permission attempt, but what's the worst that can happen other than a no?

The ridiculous part wouldn't be getting permission so much as figuring out how the hell to step his music...
5/4 rhythms in 7/8 time at 232 bpm no problem *walalala keyboard solo*
Got this permission, sent out an email and got a response 30 minutes later. Lolol. =] Name is Evelyn Bishop, goes by roxorfoxor on bandcamp. Her permission was general for anything but her comment was directed at anything other than Goatstep.
The reason why Family Farce isn't up on my list is because people aren't relaying the message to me when they obtain a new permission and post a thread about it. The information needs to be cross-posted so that I'm aware of it.
I'll go through the entire subforum on my next update and make sure I have all of the artists on the list.
