shouldnt u write that all acception emails have to be forwarded to Tass for permission confirmation? and that if it's in a foreign language, you're responsible for translation? and that you shouldn't try getting permission from a site in a foreign language that you don't understand?

Already in the thread. Part Four: Results. In the emails that have permission granted you reply and also ask if they can email their confirmation to an email address which Tass gets.
and that if it's in a foreign language, you're responsible for translation?
You don't have to translate a song, you can keep it in the original language and just step that (See: I Am Maid). If you want to translate it then it's your choice but it's not mandatory.
and that you shouldn't try getting permission from a site in a foreign language that you don't understand?
Why should I even say this? Why is this even relevant? Why does it matter if you understand it or not? If you like it and it is steppable then that's all that really matters.
I think he means you won't be able to get permission but I disagree. And also I think he means the translation of the email. Not sure though, hard to tell what he was getting at.
I mean, if there's a Japanese artist you want permission from just ask jimerax to send them a request, as he takes requests.
I have had this problem though. There are some Italian bands I'd like permission from but hell if I can speak Italian and if they don't know English they will, most likely, just not respond. Doubt they'd give permission but whatever. (Andrea Quartarone, so awesome)
myspace only counts if it gets 30 seconds into the song, fyi.
Didnt know that.
Still doesnt change the fact that FFR music plays more valuable I think..
If im not correct, dont they count the plays it gets from other peoples myspaces as well?
It might be helpful to hint to the artist that supplying a BPM for their songs (if applicable) and providing cuts of songs so that the length falls within 1:30 to 3:00 will help generate a lot more interest for their music among the stepping community.
hi19 - Personally I think getting permission is hard enough, so focusing on getting that first would be best.
Once you get permission by all means try to ask for the BPM and whatever else, depends on how much of a rapport you build up with the person you are emailing. If they seem friendly and whatnot then it's great. If they seem reluctant yet still give permission then I would call it a job well done and be thankful you got anything.
This is really cool TRD, well played. Only thing that I could think of as a way to improve it would be to separate it into sections better. Section 1: Important facts (need to know) Section 2: Working with Independents Section 3: Working with Labels. This way someone could easily go to one section and copy pasta every thing from there, instead of having to scroll slightly farther down the post. Not that this is necessary, but I would find it a little easier to use. Bolding the titles really helped so good choice with that. Once again, everything looks pretty good here.
