hardstyle would only be good if you step it like Visions (aka climax theeryz without much technical accuracy)
unless I'm the only one who finds Visions fun
Vision(One in FFR) isn't hardstyle. Its more in the range of hardhouse and techno. Its to weak for Hardstyle
Alot of hardstyle isn't climax theory unfortunatly. A lot of it is just catchy rythms compounded with background countermelody and the second salvo is the same sound but a completly different melody or a more complicated or prolonged version of the first rythm that was show cased in the song. To much of hardstyle is like Nu GABBA where you have a period of song and then a patch where its just silent or nothing is happening.
Hardhouse is climax theory to the max.
PS: Vision should be restepped. Its missing a lot of background **** in the beginning and the middle and a lot of the repeated sections could of been diversified to cover other parts of the song instead of just having random patterns that bearly fits the song.
It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school (No, I can't complain)
The teachers who taught me weren't cool (No, I can't complain)
You're holding me down (Oh Oh)
Turning me round (Oh Oh)
Filling me up with your rules (Oooh)

I know it's not hardstyle I'm not dumb, I'm just saying that hardstyle would only be fun with a similar stepping style. AKA not having anything to do with the music. A fun file would have to have climax theory otherwise it would just be a bunch of boring background ****.
Visions is stepped well for what it is... it's a fun chart the sorta follows what's going on. If you stepped every sound technically it would just end up being a repetitive, boring mess.

LOL I wasn't assuming you were dumb. Im sure you know you're music. I usually say things and back it up with what I know. Thats just how I am. Just bear with it.
Datadrain by sharpnel? Its to fast. Hardstyle is usually around 140-160 on avrage. DataDrain is still considered hardcore Trance (Happy Hardcore). Without using any programs or searching, Im figureing its around 160-170BPM. This however might be incorrect considering whats considered J-Core/J-Core Hardcore and Hardstyle compared to European Hardstyle, and Nu Gabba. Im familier with the European scene and only giving what I know based off that. Whats confusing is whats considered Hardstyle is not entirely hardstyle in Japan. A lot of the J-core that FFR is familier with (Sharpnel etc) consist of hardcore mixed in with chaotic snare rythems and this isn't the case in European classification. I hope this helps stevie.

Data Drain is not Happy Hardcore at all. I'd say it's a mixture between gabba and just j-core.
And the non sped up part is around 190 BPM iirc.
anyway, if you want to step some cool hardstyle, step my permission: Da Tweekaz
I already stepped one song of them, The Past.
ps. Alot of the swung hardstyle, as in 12th notes etc, are pretty good for stepping.
well if my stepman didnt hate me my file would have been accepted lolol

PS: id have stepped so many songs if i could get the right BPM...i use pistonsoft BPM detector and it has one section that says BPM, and one that says Tag BPM, only the Tag BPM works for me, yet it only shows Tag BPM on a few of my songs grrr -.-
i have to say finding BPM is the most annoying part of making songs =.=

Just do it manually. It's so much easier. You have to have a good ear for syncing though.
Whenever I listen for a BPM, I tap it. I then compare it (mentally) with a mental list songs I know the BPM of. I usually come within 10 BPM, then I just go up/down 1 BPM at a time to sync it. It's sort of weird.
Oh and we need to see if we can get a 65daysofstatic blanket permission. They're stuff is absolutely perfect for stepping. Traditional rock with breakbeat percussion laid over it.
I tried like 5 months ago and they didn't respond. I can try again.
