I know you're 'supposed' to put jumps to the snare drum but didn't feel powerful enough on its own to warrant putting jumps to it when I was stepping. I could have done something like layer the bass drum with anything else overlapping it but that would have been way too subtle (it's not very strong in this song, kinda like acid vision's bass drum), so I ended up with jumps only to the very sparse cymbal, vocals, melody etc

164 bpm, ~1100 steps in ~2 minutes.

I sent Saddest by Drumcorps. About 13.7 NPS I think. 1:17? It would DEFINITELY be FGO. mostly 250 BPM :P

See, I like this. Most people would layer it up just to get a hard file in the game, or to be technically correct... but it sounds like you made a pretty good call. I'm not a big fan of Venetian Snares files but this one could be fun.
