It's true. I can attest to his random decision making -- remember when Choprite was added to the game? All because I had randomly chosen 19, the value of the seconds on the timestamp I had sent to Tass a moment prior.

yup. more often than not, i'll ask someone else to give me numbers. if i don't feel like doing that, i'll use random.org.

seems like a fair enough way to do it to me.

Exactly what I was going to say.

What if a file was sitting in the queue for a year? Isn't that rather unfair?

I'd say if a file is in batch for more than 4/5+ months it should be higher-priority.

              aka high-priority

              aka put in game asap

*shrugs* luck of the draw. but, no worries... there will always be queue-clearing events, every few months.

one is coming up in a few weeks. *edit*: and i'll make sure to not include any stargroup files... his reaction should be highly entertaining.

The second benefit to this is that I know that 101 kittens would not accidentally get in even though I'm working on it still.

Yeah hold off on 101 Kittens.

Btw, I don't care much if my files don't get in as fast anymore. Like I said, at first I just wanted to redeem myself after the Bicycle Break incident, but after a while I managed to prove my skill within the community, so no need to add them so fast anymore. I just used my file as an example because it was the first thing I thought of and the circumstances were perfect.

But really, you should start planning what you release. It's getting annoying and causing many people to become turned off from FFR. Perhaps I could be of assistance, tell you what to release first and last (forbidden from calling the shots on my files of course).

So yeah, Tass, if you think you're gonna piss me off, you're not.

                      Tass used a smiley.

I stopped playing for a while after that mass release a while ago; I'd actually prefer like a song released every day or something opposed to that.

                      Bicycle Break is cool.

                      And.

Will the batch notes ever be up?

Crap... I was just playing through some of my older queued files, and when playing one of them I noticed a jump I completely missed. It's really obvious to, I have no idea how I could have missed it. I don't want to just fix one step, and then send it back to be tested again either.

who all is getting turned off at my random releasing of files? because, that's just downright funny... there are HUNDREDS of files released. why would someone get "turned off from the game" at which new songs are released when? frankly, this sounds like more complaining from you than anything else.

and if someone actually is having an issue with that... my response is something to the effect of: *shrugs*. can't please everyone... and if someone is going to be that upset over something that trivial, there ain't much we can or will do about it.

Oh, ok, that's cool. Then expect a replacement file in your email, Tass. May as well check the sync and everything too, considering it's older.

Me, several friends, and a random chunk of the community that complains about how many new files there are. Tass, you're just using the argument "MOAR IS BETTAR," but like your file testing batches, you're forgetting quality > quantity. It's not trivial. There's a very distinct technique to it; timing the release of files so that the audience comes back for more. This applies in many areas in real life.

I think you know me well enough to know I don't post this stuff purely just to complain. I do have legitimate reason for pointing this out.
