    Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

deleted other post and added on:

    of the three I played:

    Destination Unknown - yes
    Feux d'Artifice - yes
Famicom - conditional on the fix of the little thing on the ending

    ones I didn't play originally
Fly Away - yes, though those 32nds should be 24ths (there is a flam on the first note so you could maybe do xxx.x. 48ths if you wanted all four notes still), but fun overall
    He's a Pirate - yes
Spacedust - no - inconsistencies with drum 32nds throughout, a few missing jacks in the middle part for the piano. though this is one of my two favorite songs from that game
The Club - no - the patterns feel really floaty like an old avoiding-3-framers file with the rhythms that are basically roll patterns with breaks (like 12341 23412 34123 or whatever they are, you have them for a lot of the 16ths like m27ish). there were some missing 16ths in the middle, and the patterns for some of the 8th jumps were really awkward as well (i.e. m33)

and in IOSYS vids this is the most popular one. Not planning to add another file w/ movie for now though.

If the BG choice is subjective, judgement system itself is subjective, and your opinion here is subjective too.
This isn't constructive discussion at all, anyways.

Well there we go, that's all I wanted to know. Now I'm not thinking this is some subjective issue but more about the popularity of the idea. A simple answer as all that was needed.

I am not going into a "Subjective" discussion because that leads to nowhere - so I only resorted to that until I got the answer you finally happened to give

I'm planning to fix Fly Away anyhow, whether or not it gets in.

I don't think we should be that strict on these files, so it's ok as long as the file is fixed as judges said.

Also this is optional, so just fix files that you think game-worthy if the original author doesn't fix it (if you want to revive all, then you can go for it).

                    Destination Unknown: yes
Feux D'Artifice: 4:21 of nearly no pattern variation? Technical and accurate, but the same thing over and over again; no
Famicom Selecta: conditional accept with fixed ending
Fly Away: conditional with 32nds changed to 24ths
                    He's a Pirate: yes
                    Spacedust: yes

it's still part of the last batch.

EDIT: why do you feel it's necessary to keep asking that question? Just wondering.

                            kk.

also, I think files that cause "dropped notes" (aka don't have 2 sec silence) should go conditional queue.

EDIT: moved those 3 songs to conditional.

Floating Through Time(who_cares973) - Dropped Notes (Insert silence)
Over The Ocean (omgitznpv) - Dropped Notes (Insert silence)
The Fusion (Patashu) - Dropped Notes (Insert silence)

To be honest, I bet a lot of people wouldn't want to bother making syncing fixes if they had the chance, so I'll be willing to add silence/fix sync/whatever. Although I'm in no means obligated to do so.

Yeah if you could do that bmah that'd be great. Since my home internet gome disconnected I haven't found a way to upload things from my phone yet(though I could still download so I'll still be able to judge next batch)
