free time does not qualify you for the back up position it just means you have free time.

Not trying to be mean but seriously why do people assume that just because you have free time that automatically qualifies you to judge files?

This may be true, but one who has free time can surely get the job done quicker then one who chooses to do it when they get to it. Its not like I dont know what Im doing. Just because I havent stepped anything or submitted it to SM packs or anywhere doesnt mean I dont know what Im doing, Im just too impatient to step. I have been around this game for years, I kinda know whats going on in files and such. Im not going to bothering trying to defend myself, its a backup position, I was just offering and saying that I had more then enough spare time and can help out if needed =\

quicker does not mean better. having a history stepping really helps determining someones worth a judge since it tells people how firm of a grasp they have on concepts and what not, if you dont even have files released then what do we have to go off of? also you're like the 103493 person to say you have free time so you that makes you capable of judging. so that post wasnt directed at just you but everyone who said that

quicker does not mean better. having a history stepping really helps determining someones worth a judge since it tells people how firm of a grasp they have on concepts and what not

Also Jimerax, i don't think psychoangel691 should be placed as a main judge but rather more of a backup judge. She may have judged for DragonsFury but that's because she was one of the owners at the site not because she had stepping experience. She even said it herself a while back that she wasn't experienced with stepping files.

Yea I haven't stepped a lot myself mostly because I always get blocked and never finish them. Plus a lot of personal stuff had come up for a while. But that doesn't change the fact that I've looked over 100s of files and have all the knowledge needed to judge a file. I've mentioned before and I will again how much you've stepped shouldn't mean anything if you know all the correct things about stepping.

Yea I haven't stepped a lot myself mostly because I always get blocked and never finish them. Plus a lot of personal stuff had come up for a while. But that doesn't change the fact that I've looked over 100s of files and have all the knowledge needed to judge a file. I've mentioned before and I will again how much you've stepped shouldn't mean anything if you know all the correct things about stepping.

Obviously this isnt the case because I was just told that one who has stepping experience suits the position of being a judge, and if thats how it goes down, someone like Byron should be a judge far before you because he has a **** ton more experience and stepping knowledge then on who has looked over many file. I could go and download hundreds of files from bemanistyle right now and self review them, still doesnt show that im judge worthy. All in all, you should be in the back up position and byron should be a primary.

I currently don't have time to look at her actual notes for this batch, but why don't you confirm ot disprove that fact by noting discrepencies against the notes of other judges.

Thanks bmah most of my notes were just quick ones though this time because I wanted to push this batch forward since a lot of people are anxious.

@ the stepping experience
But when it comes to stepping experience I plan on stepping a whole bunch of stuff just trying to find the right music. Carlos just sent me a song that I'm probably going to step but even without experience I feel I've shown just in the final hour alone that I have a good knowledge of things such as pr and layering and that's in one of my 1st few files. I know it's not perfect yet but I get too frustrated -_-

She has the same problem that I did when I first started stepping. People get better over time, and to be quite honest, the deviance in ratings with her being in the judging seat shows that she has a fair opinion that differs from the other judges - something that is nice for having in a 3 person group because it allows to cover all bases.

i honestly dont care who ends up in the judging position because both are just as capable as one another

I use the final hour because midnight siege I didn't bother to try to pr or anything in it just wanted a fun streaming chart. Highly volatile was just experimental for me. Then there's sexplosion which I rushed to get in for stepwars on time and I'm def not happy with that chart all the way through altho I love the swing section. I have a ton of wips but most of them I'm stuck on plus Carlos there have been fixes made to the final hour. It's in for the next batch so we'll see what's said I guess. What I should finish is the nks song you had sent me a while ago and I started stepping but then stopped lol.

Lol I really should I actually plan on starting to step again there was just too much junk going on before for me to focus on it. I never even got around to starting on the collab we were going to do. Did you end up finishing that yourself?

Going to open sm now and look at all the wips I have this should be interesting since some of them I started before the site went down XD.
