Why cant you get it? You're just going to give up when you're that close and know you can get it. Keep trying, dont just stop at 3 and say you cant do it when you obviously can.

YOU DONT KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE WHORED CERTAIN FMOS TO GET ONI!!!! IT FRUSTRATING THAT I HAVE COME SO CLOSE BUT NEVER GET IT!!!! I PLAYED THRASH ATLEAST 10 TIMES AFTER GETTING 3-0-0-0 AND ENDED UP GETTING THE AAA UP TO 1200 BUT NO MY F***ING NERVES GIVE!!!!!

EDIT2: nvm XD. I was hesitating so bad at the end because I finally FCed all the hard jacky areas that I got 4 goods from shaking and so this should be 7-0-0-2 instead. I still hate jacks though. You will see in my vid on Einstein Rosen Bridge coming up.

Try to approach the AAA with the assumption that you won't AAA the file. My schmollbluk AAA literally came out of nowhere, it was a random run - yet when I played it many times in a row before I got worse scores.

If you're playing other songs, you may AAA a song on a random run. My CCCP is lying at 2 goods and playing it over and over doesn't help in my case since I split goods somewhere (it can be in any part of that file really), so you're not the only one

I tell a lot of people this all the time. If you doubt your abilities, you're never going to reach you true potential. If you think positively and say "hey, I can do this", then you're likely to get better scores.

I've proven this about myself and a few friends.

lol you act like nobody else gets nervous, we all do, its just what happen when you are planning to get something you really want.

Few things you can try that other people have mentioned, put yourself in the mindset that you already got two goods that way you dont think you have the AAA. Try turning on combo/accuracy masking. Multiple things out there.

for me, this doesnt work. i try to force myself to think that i have to goods but another part of me tells myself that im lieing to myself lol. combo masking worked for me to get good scores on a couple songs.

Another thing you could do is try autofail. Although autofail can cause more nervousness when it doesnt fail you out and you are close to the end of the song, it shows results if you keep trying. Also, dont whore the song too much. I only whore the song maybe 3-5 times. that way i dont get mindblocked. if i do get mindblocked, i switch to mirror, play it once to get used to the chart, and play it 1 more time for a try at a good score. Just some stuff i do

heh ya, the two good mindset thing doesnt work for me either, was just saying its an idea out there. Autofail is like mad nerve wrecking imo and is not smart to use if you have it set to like 1 good and end up getting the good at the end of the song, stupid fail.

But ya, try not to whore the song too much, just keep alternating through the songs you have a shot on getting the token, play each a few time then move on.

although im very contradicting. i whored rottel over 200 plays to get oni lol. its second on my most played songs with a little over 300 plays. 1st is excite bike with 1.6k plays XD.

Heh, it's bad to try AAAing something you really want when you're so pissed off.
Most of the time it doesn't work because you're tense and you expect the AAA but you don't get the results.
