Having Oni is like a badge saying "D5+". It's how it's always been when sorting out spots for tourneys.

People dont know how to place if they are just going to place someone in a division based off of one AAA. You cant look at one score especially on a song like that and auto say they are D5. Look at Hakulyte. He had AIM AAA'd just because he could jack but he was pretty bad at anything else yet was still D5. This just shows how bad people are at running tournaments if thats all the assume from a score instead of looking at the overall player. AIM is a very bad song to go an say someone is auto D5 for AAA'ing it.

i would say auto D4 for him... mainly cuz he got it playing spread... if he was an indexer it would be a different story

A better example: SK8T3R or whatever his username is. He's able to get Oni with one hand just because AIM Anthem is friendly for him. You can't just assume that his one hand will get D5 worthy scores on other FMOs just because he has Oni.

I feel like I've seen this discussion before..

AIM Anthem isn't really much of an FMO - it doesn't indicate any jumpstream, speed, nor reading abilities.

it's just simple pattern practicing. for some reason, then [14][34] comes fairly easy for me :P

and yes, like Plan_Bsk said. i'm not even close to being ready for D5.
Heck, not even D4 i think. maybe not even D3. I have trouble with 9s and 10s as it is.

for example, i'm horrid at jumpstream. which is why i can't hope to get [heavy] at the moment
