What I'm trying to say is, you will become a better player overall if you nearly max out on your speed before you work on your PA. Not only that, but you will accomplish this faster. That's what I did, and it returned incredible results. I played Stepmania almost everyday from February to November without fine tuning my timing, and after I did, it was incredibly easy to, because I had completely mastered reading arrows (not a problem, anyway), and command of my fingers.
I guess the difference between working on your PA now and later is how well you do in the long run. Take my advice, LD. You shouldn't care about letter grades now.
