It's a Halo brag ;D

This is pretty sick, this is a series set to air on ESPN2 sometime towards the end of the year. This is a game from the MLG Meadowlands tournament in my team's series against Fatal Images, another pro Halo 3 team. This match was our consolation game for 7th place.

It's high production value, so even if you don't play it'll be interesting to watch. I think they did a good job of explaining some of the situations in game. Although this game was the worst I played at the whole tournament, it's still really cool that it will be on T.V. The way they did the video is it's a 4v4 match, and they switch from different points of view of the different players on each team throughout the game.

My team is the Blue Team (Ambush). And my name I use on Halo 3 is just "Eli". We're playing against the red team (obviously), called Fatal Images.

The game is a little over 9 minutes long, so watching won't waste your evening or anything :P

I get destroyed toward the beginning, the guy no scopes me across the map and it switches to my screen for a few kills toward the end of the game.

I quit MLG a long time ago, to much of my life going to waste.
Learning its not worth it.
It might be fun but, not something you can do forever :P

But other than that, Naded is pretty bad. I raped him 1 on 1 at MLG Canada...
everybody said he was so good but, i guess he wasn't as good as everyone claims him as.
I have the pics for proof too :P
And me almost kicking Walshy out of the FFA bracket.
But anyways, GJ.
I saw you getting shaky at the end... getting a bit nervous at the last few kills. :P
The more tournys you go to, the less tension you will get.
Just takes time my friend :P
But try and stay focused, because next time might not be the same

Ehhh, it's obviously a side hobby at this point; I don't think any players besides Final Boss honestly expect to make a living off the game. And umm, I don't know exactly where you'd be playing Naded 1v1 at MLG Canada, considering there was only 4v4 and FFA at that event. Since it wasn't in tourney play, I doubt he took it seriously since I can't even think of a pro player that takes 1v1s seriously anyways. And yeah, my BR was worse than it's ever been in that series. I wasn't nervous, we had already placed top 8 out of the 256 teams; we were just playing for 7th or 8th place. Pretty much whoever won got $400 more. And I've been to about 10 MLGs now, placed top 8 several times in FFA in all of 2006, placed top 16 in 4v4 in all of 2007 (top 16 is considered "pro"), and now at the first Halo 3 event placed 7th, which is my best 4v4 placing to date. I've made a healthy chunk of change throughout Halo 2 & 3, mainly from doing lessons, but yeah of course I don't expect to do it all my life. It's just fun competition and one of the few things I'm one of the best in the world at

I wasn't meaning it like that, and you have been to many MLG's as you say :P
There are warm ups for hours on end at the start. And he was pretty pissed when I kept looking at him.
Same with Walshy, and I don't even think FB takes it seriously anymore.
Maybe in person but online they don't really play, i've played them online a few times and beat them but... I think they weren't really trying.
Ah well, Halo is gone for me.

I might see you though if your going to the MLG in Toronto this August, i'm going there for my friends team since its going to be his first MLG hes ever been to.
I might join in for the FFA but, i find Halo 3 not as fun as 2 for some reason.
Actually, i prob like them both for all there differences.
Everyone thinks they are the same game but... they are faaaaaaaaar from the same game :]

Wow, that's awesome. I've never really been into MLG, although I could probably be really good if I tried. I've been to a few local tournies, and won them all.

I liked how they announced everything like sportscasters.

That was a great way to end the game. Stopping at 48 must have annoyed them so much. That was fun to watch though, I kind of miss it.

I used to play halo. It was fun, but I wish I could have gone to MLG tourneys, but whatever.

I've always thought Halo's just kind of ...eh, another console game that falls inferior to PC FPS games.

But although my viewpoint hasn't changed, I still enjoyed watching that match.

Commentators were great too. I wouldn't have known a lot of what was going on if they hadn't been calling it out.
