Its amazing but is this all that stepmania has come to? Its not even about having fun or playing files with good steps. See who can push buttons the fastest. woot i guess?

Uhh, I don't know about you anyone else, but I find jacks to be the funnest pattern, stream/jumpstream/mainly everything else isn't nearly as fun, although still pretty fun.

I actually agree with you on this one. Files that just require mashing aren't all that fun. Sure, surviving an intense wall of high-density step patterns might be impressive, but I don't find it nearly as fun as playing a good file with a difficult stepchart that goes to some nice music. Why waste the wrist energy and lead yourself down the path of carpal tunnel? IMO it's more impressive to combo/MA a really difficult stepchart and execute it well than it is to just mash your way and survive. It's Stepmania, not "See-if-your-input-can-overcome-the-stepchart's-output-ania"
Dynamo, I haven't been playing mash-files as long as you have, but even playing Stepmania for as long as I have, my wrists are already having some issues at times. Try to limit how often you play those crazy-intense mashing songs. You may feel fine now, but I guarantee you that vibrating like that so often is going to kill your hands.
I've been playing good files for years and post scores on them all the time so no, stepmania especially for me is not all about mashing...yes the past few weeks have seen alot of mashing and dumb passes and all but people have been doing this for ages. Hayden and Reach would post dumb passes like ez2dj 1.3 and blur 1.5 so I don't think this is a new thing all of a sudden.
It's fun to see your limits and just because I have pretty much found mine in other areas (streams, MA, reading, whatever), I don't see what's so bad about posting something that at best one other person can do
oh and carpal tunnel is for failures, it's called be a man...besides, wrist-jacking is what does more damage and I'm not talking out of my ass..go play badger or rave loop 2 five times in a row and see how much worse you feel than playing something like blur five times in a row
EDIT: Forearm vibrating isn't as direct as wristjacking, but you can still get carpal tunnel from it. You're still transferring the vibration energy through a tense wrist/hand, and over time it will cause a lot of pain. I rarely wristjack, as I rely on very light, fast vibrations to do the fastmashing, but it still causes me pain if I do it too many times, even if I'm not moving my wrist joints around much.

someone should sig this lmao
and yes wtf dynamo is dynamo, he can play as many mashing songs as he wants its not like hes known for vibrating, more like he is one of if not the most accurate sm player atm T_T
Removed the image because it is more than double the 1MB limit.
