Who cares, every other token was certainly not found legitly anyway. Besides it was said that as long as it wasn't revealed in FFR, then it wasn't a concern.
Too bad 99% of you guys didn't get this song yourselves, rofl
This riddle took me forever to get.
BTW... if Tass says you got it legitly, cool beans.
You in Mensa or something? I'm like 5 points away from their minimum IQ.
I just don't act like it, hehe. ^^

Right, but when something designed to be very difficult and require some thinking and effort gets spoiled almost immidiately so that any random schlep can get it without putting any effort at all in, it devalues the work of a) the people who designed the puzzle and b) the people who actually had the intelligence to figure out the solution to the puzzle.
Obviously nobody ought to get banned for telling people outside FFR how to get the token, but that doesn't mean people can't get cheesed off about it.
As an aside, a wonderful game called the Kingdom of Loathing implemented an item, secret, hidden, whose description -explicitly told people- to keep it a secret how to acquire it, and actually had a function inversely proportional to the number of people who had one.
With a strict disincentive to spoil it (The more people who got one, the worse yours became) and a direct instruction to not spoil it, it was spoiled to the level of complete and utter uselessness about 48 hours after someone found the first one. Just because it is no surprise that people will spoil everything doesn't mean the people who actually figured it out shoudln't be allowed to be upset.

Neither IQ nor being in MENSA really has the first thing to do with actual intelligence.
Devonin: They're merely correlated in theory, but yes, both are bulls**t concepts IMO. And yeah, that is exactly what I mean about the riddle thing. Not too long after solving it, about 2-3 other people got it, then a crapload of people suddenly had the token. No fun. I hope they make the next riddle even harder.
When I get some free time, I'll be working up something that will hopefully be a bit unique... two concepts, actually:
a. force many many many people to work together to get a token, the goal then would be to make it take days or weeks to solve, but accept that it'll be leaked as soon as it is.
b. will not be able to be leaked. will be a solo effort, but hard and use something dynamic to make it unleakable.
yeah I got it leaked but promptly figured it out after seeing the answer. or at least I figured out what you had to do, I didn't bother doing it to actually test it. I had a decent run on this until the 32nds. Maybe I'll head over to the computer labs and see if I can't do any better there.
As for Gaussian Blur itself, I think it's a pretty fun file. I don't like the crazy rollbursts or whatever the heck those things are, but otherwise, solid.
