Don't want the Ridiculous graphic flashing white like the faggity Marvelous graphic?

NO PROBLEM!

All it takes is a few simple steps: Double click on your Stepmania folder then go to Themes>Default and open your metrics file in notepad...

*Note you may want to back this file up somewhere

Once in notepad hit ctrl+f and search for "Judgment" and use the first one. Then look for the line "RidiculousCommand=" and delete whatever it currently has after it.

Then replace what was there with "rainbow;effectperiod,0.3;diffusealpha,0.5;zoom,1.5;linear,0.1;diffusealpha,1;zoom,.9;sleep,0.8;linear,0.1;diffusealpha,0;zoom,1.3" (minus the quotations)

The line should look like so:

RidiculousCommand=rainbow;effectperiod,0.3;diffusealpha,0.5;zoom,1.5;linear,0.1;diffusealpha,1;zoom,.9;sleep,0.8;linear,0.1;diffusealpha,0;zoom,1.3

Just save the file and you're done!

That's not what Laggy meant... When the arrow hits the top of the screen, it flashes a certain colour... When you get a great, it flashes green (not the text that says great, the arrow that just disappeared), when you get a perf it flashes yellow, and so on... Laggy wants the ridic to flash a colour different than what marv flashes, not the actual text :P

Yeah that's what I meant :<. Anyway after doing a fast test run with to see how it looks like, it does seem to stand out at least a bit better than with the usual flash, so thanks anyway.

Um...I do...that's how I know what I just got on the note I hit...if I see a yellow flash I know I got a perf, and I adjust to hit earlier or later. If I'm hitting constant Ridics then I stay. But I can't tell if it's a ridic or marv since it's both white.

is there something in there that i can change so that when i hit the note, the judgement doesn't go out (think IIDX... where the GREAT, great, good, etc doesn't move at all when you hit a note) where it kind of bounces or something on SM

if you copy Marvelous and paste it where Ridiculous is supposed to be and do the rainbow thing then whenever you get a Ridiculous it shows up as a rainbowed Marvelous

This was good and I think everyone appreciates it because it made it slightly better at least. If you now could solve that flash-at-top-problem which is why I can't seem to adjust my timing to get ridics either, we'd make you king.

Ridiculous Timing for 3.9 will fix the receptor arrow colors.

I really like that graphic, I might play around with the metrics alittle... but NuclearShadow, would you be at all offended if I decided to release the image you posted as the new Judgement1x7 file in either the 3.9 or a future release?

No I dont care, use it if it works.

Macgravels needs to be bigger. Might even need to increase the canvas size just so that you can make Ridiculous big enough, since the word is longer than Marvelous.

You should probably also take off the flashyness of the Marvelous.
