set your autofail to 6 misses

play free space and get 2 goods on the first 2 arrows then get 5 boos and wait for the 6 misses (or just press quit after the 6th miss)

edit: i remembered that the velocity engine does the weird thing where it resets raw score to 0 if negative before adding the combo score so it gives you the wrong number, so use r^3 or legacy

That got 590, but raw score was negative, so it doesn't record it.

My problem is about the fact that I don't know how to get 590 combo scoring with positive raw scoring. I don't even know if it's possible.

I did this with Velocity so I don't remember what I did


I wonder if the negative scoring thing was an update to the engine or something..

hmm ok i didn't realise negative raw score wouldn't record, i thought it was only negative combo score.

ok let's try this

you might want to use power for this since free space has a jump in it which might mess stuff up

autofail off

get a good on the first arrow, miss the next arrow, good on the next arrow, miss the next arrow, and so on, until you've got to 6 goods and 6 misses with 1 combo. then, get 10 boos before the next arrow comes, which should be exactly the right number to fail you out of the song

make sure you get 10 boos AFTER the 6th miss, not before, otherwise you'll fail out too early. EDIT: well of course you can get them after the 6th good, as well, just make sure you get exactly 10 boos and miss the arrow after the 6th good

I seem to recall I tried to manipulate a low score and because of the negative became 0 thing, I ended up with 3bil + 20
