Yes, that's a good idea. There were a lot fewer songs available back in the old thread, but now, it's everyone playing different songs instead of us comparing our scores on the same ones. I'll compose a little list and add it to the original post. This way we can have a weekly winner instead of someone just getting so far ahead almost everyone gives up.

Hey I have an idea why don't we have something like a set of songs to play in say a week rather than all of us sending in scores for whatever songs we want. That way it runs more like a rivalry or even a tournament instead of D4 scores thread.

I support this. I have no interest in partaking in this rivalry unless there is some standardized way of measuring our dicks.

Okay, better new rules are up. Now you don't have to play like 200 songs to get to the top, and it's much more about quality of scores than quantity, and should be more competitive.

Also if you're not sure if you're around the right skill level to be D4, consider this. Your highest AAA should be on a song of a difficulty level in the 50s and your highest sdg should be in the 60s. It's okay if you're a little lower than this but please not much higher.

er..my highest AAA is phantom ensemble which is 62, and I have a BF on thrash as well as numerous SDG's on high 70's songs, yet Halogen placed me in D4 for the MP tourney(which I actually didn't sign up for haha). Soooo, am I unable to join this then?

I mean if it's a problem I don't mind not participating at all, but I think your qualifications are a bit off there. I feel like most D3'ers can AAA a level 50+ song

Okay, well my qualifications were just an estimate. As long as you think you're D4 skill level in the tourney, it's fine. There isn't some exact rule about how good your best AAA is.

New rules! There will be a list of songs each week and you just play those. And it's raw scoring! Each song will now have a leaderboard of the top 10 scores. The best is worth 10 points, second worth 9, etc., 10th is worth 1. Most points at the end of the week using this system gets the victory for that week!

I really like this new set up, and it makes it a hell of a lot easier to update on you as well. Please keep a cumulative points total as well as a weekly total though.

The list more or less developed as people added songs on the d3 rivalry thread, something like that woulda developed here if it went that course. However, I like the weekly challenge song set idea. Coupled with the switch to raw scoring, I'll get involved with this.

As far as skill cut off. I feel AAA on a 70+ should be qualifications to be 'too good' for this thread.

One last bit. Could you (Doug31) clean up the op to reflect the changes to rivalry format.

I like weekly winners, but can we still keep track of total points earned somewhere? I really like to have cumulative numbers as well, and it wouldn't be too hard to add them up somewhere.

started up a spreadsheet, will update it as soon as I learn the jist of it but wee spreadsheet to make things more organized. So far I set it to that I can edit it so until I get doug's gmail account so that I can add him onto the editing powers of the spreadsheet.
