    Re: Full Single Digit Ranks

Just saw your replay data on Revolutionary Etude and I can see what's giving you so much trouble. It's actually one of the reasons why I switched to mirror on that file. Nonmirror I have too much of a tendency to be hitting extra jumps, having my taps overlap averages to the next arrow or nasty goodsplits with boos.

    Congratulations on single digit ranks!

Yeah, I intend on doing this file on Mirror at some point. The anchor would be way easier for me that way too, it's just a matter of doing the longer jacks at that speed. I actually haven't peeked at my replay data yet, I should see how it looks.

      Thanks, everyone

Revolutionary Etude was actually one of the few files where I seriously just had to use a different setup because my standard DFJK was screwing me over hard. What I had to do was use a setup with all 4 keys close together (I did m,./).

        lol MS Paint

Of course you still have to physically be doing the ones where it's your index finger jacking, because that blocks your other hand from doing the column which your middle finger would be. There isn't any easy way out of this one, but this is something you could try.

The setup is entirely plausible for the area you say it doesn't work, because you can balance things out by using two fingers on the left hand at that particular point to nullify the anchor. I also had a pretty good run playing this chart on the arrow keys of my Logitech, since I can essentially eliminate any issues with anchors by inverting the setup from LDUR (left mid to right mid, respectively) to LUDR. I've thought about doing something like this a while ago, but never acted on it. The only difference is I mapped my way around doing it normally (not on Mirror, which is what your screenshot looks like).

I'm going to take a shot at this on the isolation file later this evening and see how I do, because it's much better than trying to hit the file dead on. Alternatively, I might just copy a part of Revo and make a generic song/practice file on it to practice on in SM. It is becoming slightly obnoxious to see this score plaguing my ranks so badly when it can most definitely be attacked.
