Christmas Event Day5 ~Cross-event with Thirdstyle~
The fifth day of the FFR and ThirdStyle event, and we bring you two files this time!
CmR by General Fuzz (hi19hi19) – Misc (Ambient) / Tricky / 2:26
Perhaps you may have felt the past two FFR releases for this event were too "gimmicky" but I assure you, this is a very traditional-style simfile. This very relaxed song by General Fuzz features some very interesting rhythms and is stepped by yours truly! I hope you enjoy it.
We also have a second release.
Elektrik shiivers by Aliceffekt (nois-or-e) – Skill Token (Sound Collage) / Difficult / 1:01
Requirement: Just pass Footsteps to unlock this song.
Today’s file introduces a new artist and a new stepper into the world of FFR. Moderator nois-or-e brings us his first file Electrik Shiivers by Canadian Industrial artist Aliceffekt, a musician that also delves into the world of digital animation and computer games. This mellow soundscape also features a bg animation designed by the music artist. Not too hard on the eyes and a short and sweet addition to this Christmas event celebration!
This short song features an interesting electronic melody with a somewhat schizophrenic acoustic section halfway through.
While nois-or-e is no stranger to this site, this marks his first simfile put in the game- congratulations!
Also, big thanks to Silvuh for awesome token graphics, as always!
There will be a new file to enjoy on ThirdStyle tomorrow.
Also, a special little contest is planned using the new ThirdStyle level tomorrow too.
Get ready for 24 hours of smash-tastic song whoring in two days’ time!
That’s it for this update. Enjoy your arrow smashing!

Jae, Why didn’t you put 2 seconds of silence at the beginning of the file? now theres an annoying lag spike there :<<<<
but that was great, totally didn't expect that part in the middle haha
and hi19hi19….i'm going to say that the file was very soothing and all, but…you missed…notes…gaaaaah

After this release, harder songs will be released in the future.
and okay, we’ll fix lag spike issue.

The very beginning of CmR reminded me of a song from Final Fantasy X.
Elektrik Shiivers (each instance in the post is either spelled or capitalized incorrectly) – first of all, what’s with all the double ‘i’s recently?
Also: “hey this is interesting OH GOD WHAT’S HAPPENING”
Yay harder songs, I suppose. And yay for fixing lag spikes. And for tokens. Shiny!

Great releases today! Song whoring contest on ThirdStyle starts midnight EST. Get your fingers ready!

Umm… I don’t know what happened but I AAA it and the song only gave me 333 notes… Which I don’t understand because the note suppose to be 341 notes but I got 333 notes. Other that that issue, great files you guys!

Yeah, the song used to have some hands in the “schizophrenic” section but they were replaced by jumps for some reason, and anyone who AAA’s after that won’t get rank 1.

This has been resolved, was a mix-up in fixing the lag-spike at the intro when the mp3/video loaded ;D
