A DARK HOPE (poem by me)

As you look at me I know you see a failure

Someone who didn't turn out the way you like

In your eyes i will only bring destruction

And it shocks me to see how strongly you believe this



But I'm telling you that i won't

I will not grow up to be a low life

I will strive to do what's right

No matter how much you believe



I've crawled my way through dark corridors

Into a light so blinding

Yet I can see clearer than ever

And i look back to see you are still dissapointed



Now i realize the truth

I will never be good enough to live up to your standards

What was once clear as day

Turns into a dark midnight

The cold walls i've grown to know come back

And all hope is lost
