Posted on: June 23, 2007, at 12:47:10pm

Okay, so. Most people know the song Hushabye Mountain from the moives "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" or the new "War of the Worlds". And if you dont know it at all. Here are the lyrics and a post below is vid for the song. But getting along with my point. If you listen to the lyrics long enough, soon you start to hear one of many dark secrets behind the lyrics. Suicide. So now I'm going to write the lyrics and then tell you how it relates to suicide.

Lyrics-
A Gental breeze from Hushabye Mountain.
Gentaly blows from Lullabye Bay.
It fills the sails of boats that are waiting.
Waiting to sail, your worries away.
It isn't far to Hushabye Mountain.
And your boat, waits down by the quay.
The winds of night, so softly are sighing.
Soon they will fly your troubles to sea.
*So close your eyes.
On Hushabye Mountain. Wave goodbye.
To cares of the day.
And watch your boat.
From Hushabye Mountain.
Sail far away from Lullabye Bay
*(repeat)

So thats the lyrics. Very pretty yet sad. But heres what some of it means.

Meaning-

A Gental breeze from Hushabye Mountain.(Sadness and thoughts of death)
Gentaly blows from Lullabye Bay.(Comes from reality)
It fills the sails of boats that are waiting.(Fills the mind of you)
Waiting to sail, your worries away. (to take you away from the world into peace(death)
It isn't far to Hushabye Mountain.(It's not hard to kill yourself)
And your boat, waits down by the quay.(your body hesitates death)
The winds of night, so softly are sighing. (Suicide thoughts urge you)
Soon they will fly your troubles to sea.(But if you give in you will leave and be happy)
*So close your eyes.
On Hushabye Mountain.(your dead now)
Wave goodbye
To cares of the day.(Your free now, you dont have to deal with your pain and hurt)
And watch your boat.
From Hushabye Mountain.(Watch yourself die, and your spirit leave)
Sail far away from Lullabye Bay (now you have gone away from the world, the pain of reality, and hate)
*(repeat)

So there you go. That is how I relate Hushabye Mountain to a Suicide Note, or thought. It kinda makes sence now, doesn't it?
