Cirque Du Freak

so anyway. I' out of work (sweetcakes ^_^) well besides that, today I had gone to see a movie. This movie was "Cirque Du Freak". It was a good movie yes, but I am a bit ranty about it at the moment.

So "Cirque Du Freak" the Darren Shan series, is a book that the movie was "based" off of. Yeah it really wasn't T_T.

Okay first off...omg so many spoilers! >_< I've only read up to book three and just from watching that movie (which was only suppose to go up to book 3) I practically know what's gonna happen now.

Second...the movie was nothing like the book! (once again the Book has triumphed) Pretty much everything that was in the movie didn't happen in any of the first three books, and some of what every one was wearing is wrong too (yes I notice things like this), and they where missing characters and adding ones in that where never really there before, and some of the charecters looked wrong.

Third problem I have with it. The characters ages. So in the book the main character is a 12-13 year old boy...in the movie he looks like he's 16-17 years of age, same with the friend.

Fourth and final, the movie went a little to fast. I wish they had kept most of it that same I think the movie would have been a lot better if it had.

When I read the book, it honestly creeped me out to the point where it even gave me nightmares. The movie...well it wasn't so creepy...or creepy at all. I kinda think Tim Burton should have directed it, he would have done a better job with it.

So, "Cirque Du Freak" the moive, disappointing to actual readers, but good for ones who have not read the book before. But just to tell you none readers and ones that think they can get away with watching the movie and testing ont he book(bad idea you'd fail) I suggest reading the book it is much more satisfying, exciting, and entertaining.
