BST Chapter 3 Posted on: September 18, 2009, at 05:02:08pm Spain looked around as he entered the home of the younger two. It was a two-story house made of white brick. Everything indoors was handmade, either craved by the skilled hands of Mexico or crafted by the graceful hands of Texas. When Texas left the room to start dinner Mexico told Spain that Texas would never admit but she was quite a homemaker despite her appearance. This surprised Spain. “Why does she act like that anyway?” Mexico shot him a questioning glance “No ones ever asked that, most just assume she’s a brat and then ignore her. She acts that way because she’s not used to people, especially guys though she puts up with me she hits me when I tease her.” “So, is she going to punch me into a tree too?” Mexico chuckled “As long as you don’t make smart comments I think you wont get a beating, for now.” As soon as the words had left his lips Texas walked in with platters of food. “Hey, what’s with the idiotic grins on your faces.” She said trying to look grumpy, though she was silently glad that she didn’t come back to find them drunk and singing mariachi band tunes. Texas had definitely hid the Tequila well this time. They looked at each other as if silently having a conversation they turned to her “Nothing!” they shouted in unison. Texas had to stifle a chuckle. Mexico definitely liked Antonio; he always acted like a little kid around people he liked. She had been so lost in her thoughts she hadn’t noticed that they were both digging into the food she had set in front of them. Antonio stopped while eating his fajita to give it a questioning look. “What’s wrong Antonio, not to your liking?” He looked up at her eyes full of curiosity “What are these tasty red things?” “Huh, oh those are chopped tomatoes.” He stared at her with a blank stare not comprehending what she was talking about. With a sigh she stood walking back into the kitchen. She came back with a bright red fruit in her hand “This-“ she stated as if talking to a child “is a tomato, they grow around here.” Spain examined the fruit in her hand before leaning back in his chair with a huge grin on his face. “What now Antonio” she huffed trying to hide her growing irritation. “Oh, it’s nothing, I was just thinking how you look cute when you're angry.” Texas’s eyes widened a little and her cheeks were dusted a light pink tinge. “S-shut up, idiot!” Texas shouted trying to hide her growing embarrassment, no one had ever called her cute. Just then Mexico joined the conversation “Ah Stella, you’re acting like a girl for once.” He had just signed his death wish. “Aw! Your name is Stella! That’s so much cuter than Texas!” Texas turned to Spain; if looks could kill he would be six feet under. She then stomped out of the room. “Um, Mexico should we be worried.” Mexico turned to Spain with a chuckle. “Probably!” he shouted flashing him a grin. That didn’t calm him down at all. “It’s kinda ironic, really.” Antonio looked up as Mexico spoke again. “Texas means friend in Indian.” Texas walked into the room with two large green bottles. Mexico’s eyes sparkled when he noticed the bottle. “Your gonna let me have some Tequila!” “No. As your punishment for telling him my real name me and Antonio are gonna drink it and your going to watch!” With that she sat back down beside Antonio handing him a bottle and started chugging the one still in her hand. “So not cute.” “Use that word again and Ill cut off the appendage your thinking with.” Spain shuddered and started chugging down the liquid as well, hopefully the liquid wasn’t strong enough to make him do something that would make her follow through with her plan. |
